Why the long wait in posting this review? Because it’s material in my new project, K-Soul Magazine, an English language Korean pop culture e-magazine based in Seoul. (Did you know there is almost nothing published about Korean pop culture for people actually in Seoul?! It’s ridiculous.)
A facebook like page, like buttons, and all that other social media goodness will be added to the site in the coming days, but I thought I’d release the beta of the basic articles first. In the next few weeks, an e-magazine will be released in pdf form, with extra content and stuff (hopefully). I have REALLY high hopes about this project, so please help support it by sharing it with your friends!

If you want the message to be to a specific person, address it as “NH Media (U-Kiss - Member name)” So say I was mailing something to Soohyun, it would be “NH Media (U-Kiss - Soohyun)”
Make sure you put the U-Kiss part on, otherwise it might just get lost in the mail pile of “stuff NH Media deals with that isn’t fanmail” and the boys will never get your “oppar fighting!!” message.
If wondering, yes, you can write the address in the alphabet and the mail people won’t be like “AAAH I CAN’T READ IT!” Everyone here can read that and know where it’s going.
Doing these three things takes only a minute or two of your day, and keeps U-Kiss decently ranked, even when they’re not promoting in South Korea.
This was confirmed on Ryan Jhun’s twitter (after first asking who leaked the information.)
Dongho was SO tired, he kinda went missing for the last hour. I think he was off sleeping in the van. XDDD
WHY CAN’T I GO BACK TO SLEEP?!!?
So, last night. Short break down. I was there until 4:45 (Including line up, that was 12 hours)
U-Kiss and Miss A were on team D, the pink team.
I thought I was going to see Dongho try and talk to Suzy, but alas. Hell, L.Jo tried to talk to GaIn more than Dongho tried with Suzy. Fail.
Speaking of talking to girls, Kevin spent lots of the night talking to Min from Miss A and G.Na. The girl next to me was furious, as if she had no idea that Kevin is friends with both of them.
We discovered Eli’s most amazing hours are between 2-5am. He just became this hilarious, hyper ball of fail. One fan brought him 5 cans of redbull (he tweeted about it) and the fan staff wouldn’t give it to him right away. Jesus Christ, NEVER DO THAT. He was PROWLING around at the edge of where we were sitting, watching the bag, begging the staff to PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GIVE HIM THE REDBULL.
They finally gave him the bag and he looked so happy he could have died.
I took a lot of photos, considering. I’ll probably post them up in the next few days, and write up a report over on my site.
So, I was at the taping in Ilsan for the MBC music festival this evening. First row, centre, in case you’re watching and want to go “OH HEY, I KNOW THAT HEAD BUMP!”
First off, let me quickly say that the bullshit started when the fans only found out that their idols (U-Kiss, Rainbow, CN Blue and FT Island) were not going to be at the main hall. I don’t know how the other fandoms were, but U-Kiss, we found out THE NIGHT BEFORE. First bit of disrepect right there, the fans were left scrambling to change their plans. (Both myself and the mods from Kevriel had tickets to the main show, so we dropped those tickets. But it’s annoying to change plans.)
So I got to the venue, and waited. Waiting is part of the game, I was prepared. Lets skip the waiting game.
Few hours later, the Kiss Mes are organized with amazing precision (We get set up in a standing section in order of line. I don’t see the other fandoms doing this. We’re awesome.) We got to watch both CN Blue and FT Island pre-record their performances, which was awesome. Then we set up at the stage that would become U-Kiss’ stage, and waited.
And waited.
And waited.
We could hear the show starting, which was strange, because FT Island and CN Blue were able to rehearse, and UKiss still hadn’t done anything. And we could kinda see them moving about so I knew they were ready. But finally, they came out, and got ready to perform. We assumed they would just be going live, and honestly, I think U-Kiss thought that too. So they performed their song PERFECTLY and the chants were amazing and everyone looked cool.
…And then they were told that was the rehearsal, lets go again live. So the guys got ready again, and the music played. The guys began performing, and suddenly, the music cut out. It’s quite common for a rehearsal, but they thought this was live. So all the guys went over to the side to see what was going on, looking completely baffled.
And this is the moment the cameras in Ilsan went live, and the music played again.
There was NO CUE, NO WARNING. NOTHING. The music just played, and the guys looked TERRIFIED AND PANICKED. Amazingly, they were able to jump back into it, and performed well. Being in the front, I had no idea they were having mic issues either (it’s hard to hear the mics since we’re hearing the live voices clearly) so that was something I found out after.
Honestly, we thought that perhaps they were doing a pre-record like FTI and CNB did. So I didn’t realize just how bad things were until Dongho tweeted his “- -” tweet. We had noticed that the guys were suddenly really depressed, but it wasn’t until we all managed to get onto our phones to find out exactly what happened.
It doesn’t matter if it’s obvious MBC made the mistake, not UKiss. At the end of the day, general public will see it as U-Kiss’ fuckup, not MBC. Which is why it’s so important to make sure that MBC publicly apologizes to U-Kiss (And MBlaq and others who are being fucked around with. I didn’t see them, I can only give first hand response to the U-Kiss taping)
Use the hashtag #MBCsaySorryToUKiss and tweet it to @mbckpop to make sure they hear us. Also, make sure you’re trending #WeLoveYouUKiss because I have not seen the guys looking so gutted in a loooong time. They were embarrassed very publicly, and it sucks. They need to be reminded that we love them.
(Oh, and btw. I’ve been watching the #MBCSaySorryToUKiss tag… perhaps telling @mbckpop that you’re going to kill them with fire or burn their house down or other fiery, violent acts isn’t the best way to get them listening to us… Do try and use the higher ground here. Just tell them their treatment of idols was unprofessional and rude.
