So the other day, IvyGate posted about how AJ has landed in Columbia, and already the fangirls are being a pain in the ass there. “South Korean Boy Band Member to Enroll at Columbia, Will Never Escape Swarm of Fangirls” And the Columbia’s news page, Bwog, has also posted about it, because apparently there has been a shit storm of traffic coming from across Asia.
On the twitter account, the people on Bwog seem to be rather polite. However, if you look at the tags on the post, they’re filled with passive aggressive annoyance and joking. In other news: The fact they have to deal with the Kiss Mes is ridiculous and sad. The students and staff who are running these sites and working at Columbia are NOT NH staff. They have no responsibility to keep up with AJ, post about him, or give a damn about what he does.
So I have a small bit of advice for all the fans out there: Leave. Him. Alone.
I know you care, and I know we all want to know how he’s doing. However, one does not move HALF WAY AROUND THE WORLD and not have escape on the mind. For five months, he’s not going to be AJ of U-Kiss of Kim Jaeseop. He’s just Jay, and I’m willing to bet he would really like to be anonymous for a while. He barely updates his twitter as is, so it’s easy to see he likes his privacy.
And more importantly, PLEASE try to not harass or bother the staff and students at Columbia. Asking them information, tweeting their official pages or commenting on their site is like some random person asking me about hockey or polar bears, just because I’m Canadian, or like me asking any of you about a random person at your own school or work, just because you’re in the same general area.
AJ is going to be busy studying and living a student life. He’ll probably be doing lots of stuff he could never get away with as an idol, so let him. He deserves that much. And he’ll be back soon enough so you can harass him and the NH staff then as much as your heart desires.
this is basically everything I wanted to say but was far too angry and upset to do so. fans, please — leave him alone;...
