一球入顔 - One shot to your FACE

So, in Seoul, there are a few theatres that are in 4D. The chairs move, there’s wind, and sounds all over the place, and lights, and it’s like being on one of those Disney 4D rides, except it’s 2 hours long and it’s a movie.

And right now, Star Wars: Episode 1 is running there. And for anyone who tries to say otherwise about going, I have two words for you:

POD. RACE.

The podrace in 4D was the most AMAZING THING I HAVE EVER SAT THROUGH IN MY LIFE. There was wind in my hair as I could feel the roar of the engines around me. We swooped and dived and rolled around the track, and the screen was in 3D, and it was just… I would go again. And again. And again. I could spend hundreds, just going to see that one scene in 4D.

AHHHHHH STAR WARS I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.
I spent the entire time giggling through the movie, because I appreciate some parts of it SO MUCH MORE now that I’m older than 13 XDDD

Like how the Trade Federation guys all sound like a bunch of drunk salarymen from Korea. Or how the Gungans sound like crazy old Greeks. And the Naboo are Italians. And when they flew into to Coruscant I was like “OH LOOK IT’S SEOUL! LOOK AT THE YELLOW DUST!”

I loved looking at all the costumes and appreciating them once again (I used to be seriously into costuming and sewing.) I knew the Japanese influences when I saw it the first time, but watching it now made me aware of the HUGE HUGE HUGE Korean influences in the head dresses. Like, holy crap, it was awesome.

And then I spent half the movie squealing over Anakin because I still love that kid. And I kept thinking about how Kevin and Eli would have been about 8 or so when the movie came out, and how I would have loved to see them as little kids dressed up like jedi for halloween with a plastic lightsaber and stuff.

And then my friend and I went to McDonalds and talked about how we wanted to go see Star Wars in 4D with everyone in UKiss (except for AJ because he’s a stick in the mud who wouldn’t freak out over the chairs moving) and then decided to extend the invitation to half of Teen Top, Taecyeon, Jonghyun, Seulong and Jinwoon. It would be a party of flailing and people going “HOLY SHIT THE POD RACE IS THE MOST AMAZING THING EVER” and we’d all be sitting in our seats pretending to be driving and stuff.

Can you tell I enjoyed myself today?
