What are the boys’ personalities like compared to what we see on shows like Chef’s Kiss, Pops in Seoul, etc.

I can’t say about Chef Kiss, I don’t watch most TV shows (I hate sitting at a computer watching TV. It’s either on TV or I don’t watch it.)

However, oh my god, their personalities are like… so very different.

First thing’s first, and it’s one nobody will probably believe me with: My friend and I both have very accurate gaydars. And we’ve met UKiss more than a few times. And each time, none of them have set it off. At least, not compared to some other idols we’ve met. ㅋㅋㅋ It’s so strange, but they come across as really… straight. Which is funny considering what they’re well known for (cross dressing, being girly, dancing like strippers.) I’ll try give my ideas on what they’re like in person. Some of them aren’t very detailed because they don’t talk to me much. And then some of them I’ll hold back because those boys talk to me too much. Heh.

Dongho: He’s been pretty low key and quiet every time I’ve met him. His English is pretty decent, and he’s not nervous with foreigners. I think it’s because he spent a lot of time with Kevin, Eli and Xander, so he’s used to the different languages. When I get to speak to him, he’s pretty decent at striking up regular conversation. At tapings though, he doesn’t seem to speak much. That being said, he’s usually exhausted so it’s not like he’s avoiding anyone. He just seems to focus on keeping awake. XDDD;;;

Soohyun: Oh god. Soohyun. I love Soohyun, because he’s just… Amazing and awkward and seems to be changing all the time. When I first met him, they’d JUST announced him as leader, and he was like “FUUUUUCK FOREIGNEEEERRRRRR” and always freaked out around me. It was adorable. But since living in Japan, he’s really become this amazing leader type. He doesn’t ask me stupid questions any more (Hoon took over that role) and is learning that the foreign fans are not zombies/ghosts/vampires/any other kind of being that may eat his soul. Hell, yesterday he said hi to me and gave me a wink and grin during the “And all that’s in between” line/body roll move of a Neverland rehearsal. I was just like “I DIDN’T MAKE SOOHYUN CRY TODAY! VICTORY IS MINE!”

Kiseop: Kiseop is a really fun person. He’s a hugger. Very much a hugger. He seems like he was one of those kids who was a tactile learner in school. It seems like, in UKiss, he’s the go to guy if you need someone to use as a prop or get a hug from. Last night they were so exhausted, a lot of the guys ended up getting hugs just so they could have a split second to nap. He is also very fan focused. He looooves attention. Loves it loves it loves it. Scream his name, he will give you fan service. Give him a hand heart, he’ll give one back.

AJ: AJ is still kinda quiet during tapings and stuff. He’ll talk back, but keeps to himself. When he’s in the mood, he’s HILARIOUS and is a complete and total dork. You can tell him and Eli are really good friends, they have similar senses of humour. But when AJ is tired? He’s tired. XD;; Sad thing is, all the events I’ve gone to are late at night or after a full day of promotions, so he’s always a bit more quiet.

Hoon: Hoon is cute. And quiet. Because he’s not very good at English, I don’t know him as well as the others, but I’m pretty sure he could qualify as a smartass. Yesterday he asked me if I liked kimchi because it was the only English he remembered. I said no, just to make him O_O face at me. :DDD Then me and my friend and I mocked him and Hoon’s little foreigner impression thing that was giffed. Boy, you will learn that foreigners are going to be the reason UKiss stays active, gdi Hoon seems like the type of guy all the UKiss guys love. He likes to laugh, he likes to joke, and he gets on well with the other guys.
Am I allowed to mention here that Hoon has an amazing ass? I know this has nothing about his personality, but he does.

Eli: Eli is a talker. Out of all of the boys, he’s the first to be talking to the audience. He loves his fans, loves talking to them. He’s very chill, too. And very. Very. American. I don’t know how else to put it. But make a pop culture reference from back home, and he gets it. Yell “How YOU doin’” at him and he’ll say it back with the Joey voice. Tell him it’s hot in here and he’ll sing Nelly. He gets bored, he’ll sing Baby Got Back. Eli is SO SO SO EASY TO TALK TO. Yesterday the other fans had to yell at him “ELI, YOU HAVE OTHER FANS HERE. D:<” because me and him were talking and talking and talking about… fuck if I remember. He was feeling like death and I was telling him not to die and stuff. I can’t even remember the full conversation. I do remember asking if he was okay and he was like “Lolz no.” and then I said I’d give him a redbull. But I didn’t have one. But if I had one, I’d share.
Eli is also smart as hell. Remember, he’s fluent in 3 languages and conversational in another. His mother tongue is English, and he speaks Chinese, Korean, and Japanese. For an English speaker, these are all level 5 difficulty languages. They are considered the most difficult languages for a native English speaker to learn. And he’s mastering them. So next time you watch him do the pigeon or watch Pops In Seoul, remember: he’s probably much smarter than you.
I also get the feeling Eli doesn’t LIKE doing the animal impersonations. He just does them because he has to.

Kevin: Of all the members of UKiss who differ from their TV persona, Kevin tops that list. On TV, he’s borderline campy. The girl dances and everything, I can easily understand why people ask if Kevin’s gay a lot. And hell, even with speaking in Korean, I can almost understand it. But if you ever get to speak to him in English, just being himself? It’s like talking to a different person. He’s such a sweet, down to earth person. I can’t even get into it without gushing. He also has a pretty fun sense of humour. He like trolling youtube. He follows vloggers and likes Nigahiga and stuff. I find it really easy to talk to Kevin, and the conversation is never flailing. Like yesterday, I offered him some gum for his sore throat and to help clear his head (He’s been sick for 2 weeks. I had Dentyne Ice Midnight Mint) and ended up teasing him for having no pockets to keep it while he pretended to sing Neverland while chewing gum. Cue the death stares from Kevin fans for how well we get along. Even the Korean fans have noticed, when Kevin gets to speak English with me he seems much more relaxed and talks a LOT more than he does when fans speak to him in Korean. It’s really interesting.
