– Sometimes, I’m quite sure I’m adopted. Because my mom was not speaking in the sense of “Oh Japan, you’re so crazy”.

Mom: What's that box on your bed?
Me: what box?
Mom: The box, on your bed. The wrapped box.
Me: *eyes the wrapped box* I don't see a box. There is no box.
Mom: The one on your bed!!
Me: ...there is no box. Quit asking questions.
Mom: But... OH! ...So what's in the box? :D:D
Me: No box.
